While speaking on Sunrise Daily, he credited the examination body for the increased level of reading among students who seek admission in higher institutions.
He added that JAMB is better improved as opposed to the way it used to be.
Prof Badejo also disclosed that while serving as the Post UTME Chairman in Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), he found out that many students who had high scores in JAMB did not perform well in the Universities’ examination.
“We saw students who scored 300 over 400 in JAMB but couldn’t score 100 in our own (examinations); but that is reducing now. Now students are studying before coming to universities,” Prof. Badejo said.
He added that it is good for universities to conduct examinations after students must have passed through JAMB. He added that “post UTME should stay, JAMB should stay.”
